Diagnosis was confirmed as gastric carcinoma.
Gastric carcinoma has a higher incidence among Asian populations than Western. It is associated with H. pylori infection, high salt intake and smoking. Symptoms include epigastric pain, loss of appetite, weight loss and heme-positive stool.
