what is the difference between intralobar and extralobar types?
Intralobar sequestrations: venous drainage commonly occurs via the pulmonary veins, but can occur through the azygous-hemiazygous system, portal vein, right atrium or inferior vena cava. It is closely connected to the adjacent normal lung and does not have a separate pleura. Extralobar sequestrations: venous drainage most commonly through the systemic veins into the right atrium (but is variable). It is separated from any surrounding lung by its own pleura
A consolidative lesion is seen at the medial aspect of the left lower lung lobe, showing arterial supply from the aorta and drain into the pulmonary veins, surrounded by small tree-in-bud nodules and atelectatic bands.
