Tornwaldt cyst

Discussion:

Tornwaldt cysts are benign nasopharyngeal mucosal lesions, representing a notochord remnant, that are almost always discovered incidentally on MR or CT. The peak incidence ranges from 15 to 60 years, although the current patient presented at 10 years of age.

If there are symptoms marsupialization surgery is used as treatment.

In this instance, a small pineal cyst is also present.
