- oedematous, hypoechoic ulnar nerve just proximal to the elbow along with the increased cross-sectional area
- elbow flexion results in ulnar nerve dislocation, no associated triceps dislocation
- the long axis of the nerve shows nerve compression with proximal oedema
- mild synovial thickening with effusion in the posterior recess of the elbow
