The cerebellopontine angle cistern is a triangular CSF-filled subarachnoid space that lies between the anterior surface of the cerebellum and the lateral surface of the pons.

- anterior: prepontine cistern
- anterolateral: posterior surface of petrous temporal bone, including internal acoustic meatus
