The cingulate sulcus is situated directly superior to the cingulate gyrus, which is formed by the medial surface of the frontal lobes that is directly above the corpus callosum. It is continuous posteriorly with the subparietal sulcus and the marginal sulcus posterosuperiorly.
In the majority of cases the callosomarginal artery courses through the cingulate sulcus 2,3.
