Digital radiography
Updates to Article Attributes
Body
was changed:
Digital radiography is based on use of discrete values in camparison to conventional radiography which uses analogue/continuous values. It removes the requirement of the dark room procedures.
Types
-
computed radiography (CR)
- uses photostimulable phosphor plates in cassettes
-
direct digital radiography (DDR)
- no cassette
- uses flat panel detectors (direct or indirect) or charge coupled devices (CCDs)
