The incisive nerve is one of the two terminal branches of the inferior alveolar nerve, a branch of the posterior division of the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve. It continues running anteriorly in the medullary cavity of the mandible after the mental nerve branches the off and exitingexits via the mental foramen. It supplies the mandibular canine and incisor teeth and their buccal gingiva.
