A lover's fractureloves fracture is type of calcaneal fracture. They may be intra- or extra-articular.

The name lover's fracture fracture is derived from the fact that a suitor may jump from great heights while trying to escape from the lover's spouse 2.

Bohler's angleBöhler angle is the angle between two tangent lines drawn across the anterior and posterior borders of calcaneus in the lateral view. When Bohler's angleBöhler angle becomes less than 20 degrees it suggests a calcaneal fracture is present. 

CT

CT is the modaity of choice to evaluate calcaneal fracture. It can show the extent and extra- or intra-articular components of the fracture. Also for evaluation of hematoma along sole of foot (Mondor sign).
