The metadiaphysesMetadiaphysis (plural: metadiaphysismetadiaphyses) is is a portmanteau of metaphysis and diaphysis and refers to the combined region of a long bone, often used to describe lesions that span both regions. Confusingly some use the term diametaphysis for the same region. Both are equally valid, choose one and stick to it.
