The scala vestibuli, also known as vestibular duct, is the superiormostsuperior most duct of the cochlea. It is filled with perilymph and communicates directly with the subarachnoid space.
It is separated from the scala media by Reissner's membrane (vestibular membrane) and from the scala tympani by the spiral lamina.
