The Thurstan Holland fragment otherwise known as the Thurstan Holland sign is an eponymous radiological sign depicting a triangular portion of the metaphysis remaining with the epiphysis in an epiphyseal fracture. This fragment is one of the tell tail signs of a type 2 salter-harris fracture 1.  

It is named after Charles Thurstan Holland (1863-1941), a radiologist and one the prominent pioneers in the early development of the radiological speciality 2
