Tulip bulb sign refers to the characteristic appearance due to dilatation of sinuses of Valsalva slightly extending into the ascending aortaannuloaortic ectasia as seen on CT scanangiography.
There is symmetric dilatation of chestthe three sinuses of Valsalva, with extension into the ascending aorta and effacement of the sinotubular junction.
It is seen especially in Marfan's syndrome.
On CT angiography, aneurysm of the aortic root with effacement of sinotubular junction and aortic regurgitation are seen60-80% patients affected 1.
