Epidemiology

Malignant mesothelioma originating from the tunica vaginalis is extremely rare. 

Clinical presentation 

Patients usually present with enlarging or recurrent hydrocele, or less frequently, scrotal mass.

Associations

Although the exact pathophysiology is unclear, exposure to asbestos and long-standing hydrocele are considered risk factors offor malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis. A history of asbestos exposure is present in <50% of patients7.

Radiographic features
