When to use bold

Updates to Article Attributes

Body was changed:

Both bold and italic type should be used sparingly. 

Examples of appropriate use include: 

  1. the subject of the article in the first sentence of the introduction., e.g "Pineal cysts are common incidental findings"
  2. sequence names in bullet list for MRI, e.g T1: (see here)
  3. bacterial latinLatin binomial, e.g E. coli

Neither bold nor italic should be used to emphasise word words in the middle of a paragraph.
