Presentation
Chest pain, shortness of breath, night sweats and recent weight loss.
Patient Data
Large mediastinal mass and multiple mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy are seen that encase mediastinal and hilar structures and cause peri hilar and para mediastinal lung opacities.
In imaged parts of the upper abdomen, several pre-aortocaval and porta hepatis lymphadenopathy are also evident.
Case Discussion
This is a pathology-proven case of Hodgkin lymphoma that presents with bulky mediastinal mass and mediastinal, hilar and abdominal lymphadenopathy.
Hodgkin lymphoma spreads through lymphatic pathways and typically occurs in two peaks: in young adults (15-34 years) and older patients (>55 years). The cure rate is around 90%, varying based on its stage and sub-type.
