Post traumatic right 3rd finger pain with 'pop' feeling.

Patient Data

Age: 35
Gender: Male

Abnormally thickened and hypoechoic 4th annular flexor pulley (A4) on the US transverse image.

US longitudinal images depict increased distance between the flexor tendons and the diaphysis of the middle phalanx of the right 3rd finger compared to its homologue of left 3rd finger.

Sagittal CT images show the increased distance between the flexor tendons and the diaphysis of the middle phalanx of the right 3rd finger compared to its homologue of left 3rd finger. 

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with finger flexor annular pulley (A4) tear.
