The prosthesis is not visible on the conventional neck soft tissue radiograph.
Case Discussion
Thyroplasty is a procedure in which an implant is placed in the larynx alongside the vocal cord. The implant displaces the vocal cord to the midline and allows a paralyzed or weak vocal cord to touch the opposite cord in order to have a strong voice.
