Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

Low density parietal lesion with pronounced overlying bony remodeling.

Cortical parietal lesion with high T2 signal and low T1 signal demonstrates no enhancement. Prominent overlying skull remodeling noted. On T2 weighted images the lesion has a "bubbly" appearance, typical of DNETs.

Intraoperative images demonstrate the expansile mass on the surface of the brain with associated remodeling of the inner surface of the craniotomy.

Final histology: "Tumor neuroepitelial disembrioplastico" = translated as Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (DNET)
