Presentation
Chronic abdominal pain aggravated by supine position. No history of weight loss.
Patient Data
There is focal stenosis of the proximal celiac trunk due to extrinsic compression by a thickened median arcuate ligament (thickness=6 mm), followed by moderate dilatation of the post-stenotic segment.
A small left adrenal mass is noted most likely adenoma (incidentaloma).
Case Discussion
CT features of a median arcuate ligament syndrome. It is a celiac trunk compression by the thickened median arcuate ligament, a fibrous arch joins the diaphragmatic crura at the aortic hiatus. It commonly presents with chronic abdominal pain, aggravated by supine position.
