Subtle pre-patellar soft tissue swelling and fullness with tiny specks of calcification. Findings are suggestive of pre-patellar bursitis. No fracture is noted.
Case Discussion
Prepatellar bursitis is inflammation and fluid collection within the prepatellar bursa which is located between the patella and the overlying subcutaneous tissues. It occurs due to chronic irritation secondary to trauma or repetitive kneeling.
