Esophageal foreign body

There is a radiopaque foreign body at the gastro-esophageal junction in keeping with swallowed ring.
There is no pneumothorax or free subphrenic gas.
No consolidation or bowel obstruction. Pacemaker device in situ.
Degenerative changes in the spine and hips. No pleural effusion.
Case Discussion
Chest x-ray reveals a radiopaque foreign body fitting the description of her missing engagement ring. Her heirloom was retrieved from the gastro-esophageal junction by endoscopy just in time for Valentine's day.
