Presentation
Abdominal pain and elevated liver enzymes.
Patient Data
The liver is small and shows nodular margin in keeping with cirrhosis. No hepatic mass is identified in current study. Multiple dilated collateral vessels are seen particularly at peri gastric and distal para esophageal regions. A little amount free fluid is observed at abdominopelvic spaces. The spleen is enlarged and its cephalocaudal height measured 140 mm.
A few non-enhanced simple cortical cysts are seen at both kidneys, with maximum diameters of 18 mm.
The prostate gland is mildly enlarged.
Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.
Case Discussion
Cirrhosis with evidence of portal hypertension, splenomegaly and mild ascites.
