Case contributed by Ian Bickle
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Tender epigastrium. Perforation?

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

Heart size normal. Lungs clear.  Normal mediastinal contours.

Metallic density under the right hemidiaphragm, looks like a 'dropped clip' sterilization or other surgery.

Case Discussion

Sterilization clips are not infrequently 'dropped' at laparoscopic surgery and remain inert in the peritoneal cavity.  They are a reasonably common incidental finding on CT.

This is one of the more uncommon locations in the subphrenic space.
