Hand pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Severe second and third metacarpophalangeal joint osteoarthritis. Mild osteoarthritis of the distal interphalangeal row of the fingers and the interphalangeal joint of the thumb. Mild osteoarthritis of the first carpometacarpal joint. Severe osteoarthritis of the triscaphe joint and distal radioulnar joint. Chondrocalcinosis in the region of the TFCC, dorsal radiocarpal soft tissues and base of thumb.

Typical appearances of osteoarthritis with CPPD with degenerative joint disease worse at the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal joints, which is atypical for run-of-the-mill hand osteoarthritis
