Ultrasound shows a complicated cyst: an oval anechoic circumscribed mass with posterior enhancement and many brightly echogenic foci inside, giving a glittering appearance when moving during the examination.
Case Discussion
A residual complicated cyst was detected by ultrasound in this postmenopausal patient. The floating and brightly echogenic foci within the cystic fluid are debris and cholesterol crystals.
