Liver abscess secondary to appendiceal phlegmon

18 year old man whit 7 days of fever, urinary symptoms, abdominal pain and jaundice.
Initially medicated whit oral antibiotics for urinary infection with not improve.
Initially US show an hypoecogenic lesion in right hepatic lobe and free fluid in the pelvis.
CT scan show that lesion is enhanced with contrast and is suggestive of an hepatic abscess.
Ct san also shows an appendicolith and signs of appendicular plastron.
Percutaneous drainage was performed and the diagnosis was confirmed.
Not surgery was necessary for the appendicular phlegmon.

Updates to Study Attributes
Pigtail catheter is placed inside the liver abscess with guided CT scan.
Purulent material was obtained.

3 days later CT scan shows a gas level abscess and the percutaneous Pigtail catheter inside the lesion.
