Large descending right sided L4-5 disc extrusion which fills the subarticular recess and compresses the traversing right L5 nerve root.
Case Discussion
Although MRI is far better in the assessment of disc herniation, modern CT with soft tissue algorithm can often identify large protrusions and extrusions such as in this case.
