Focal disc migration is defined as a condition where a detached piece of the nucleous pulposus migrates from its intradiscal location. Herniation usually occurs in a relatively young patients when intradiscal pressure remains high. Disc herniation may occur in any direction.

 This patient presented with low back pain of 4 months duration.
