Left thumb trauma a few hours before. Complaining of thumb base pain, swelling on the ulnar aspect.

Symptomatic side - Ulnar collateral ligament
- Absent in normal location
- There is a hypoechoic pseudomass abutting head of the metacarpus.
- Stress view results in a significant opening of metacarpophalangeal joint with herniation of peri-articular soft tissue into the joint.
Asymptomatic side - Ulnar collateral ligament
- Normal echopattern
- Stress view does not allow opening of the metacarpophalangeal joint.

An elderly male presented with post-traumatic left thumb base pain and swelling. Ultrasound reveals Stener's lesion.
