Bilateral multiple subependymal nodules are seen, which have the same MR signal characteristics as the grey matter.
A retrocerebellar arachnoid cyst is also seen.
Case Discussion
MRI of the brain demonstrates multiple subependymal nodules, which have the same MR-signal characteristics as the cortex, without any signs of contrast enhancement. This case illustrates typical features of subependymal grey matter heterotopia, which is a relatively common cause of epilepsy.
