Transient patellar subluxation with osteochondral fragment

Moderate right knee joint effusion with supra-patellar extension is seen. Stranding of Hoffa’s fat pad noted.
Patchy bone contusion is seen in the lateral femoral condyle on anterior aspect and medial aspect of patella.
Approx 1.8 x 0.9cm size lesion in the joint space on medial aspect, may represent detached osteochondral fragment probably from the lateral femoral condyle.
Mild lateral patellar subluxation is noted. Partial tear with edema in the medial retinaculum.
Partial tear of medial collateral ligament is noted.
Case Discussion
These findings represent transient patellar subluxation with osteochondral fragment.
