Thalamus and basal ganglia infarct on right side with thrombosis of straigth sinus.

Most often the thrombosis of straight sinus and internal cerebral veins invoves both thalami; rarely unilateral. Whenever there is unilateral involvement left side, forright side, for unknown reasons, is more common.
