A well-defined rounded cystic structure posteroinferior to vermis with no communication to the fourth ventricle. Dilatation of third and both lateral ventricles with subependymal leakage ( acute tri-ventricular hydrocephalus)

An intact vermis and lack of communication with the fourth ventricle are features of a posterior fossa arachnoid cyst
