Mild narrowing of the L2-3 disc space with irregularity of the vertebral end plates. The L2 and L3 vertebral bodies and their pedicles (mainly L3) are of low signal on T1, high signal on T2 and STIR sequences with enhancement on postcontrast sequences in keeping with a bone marrow edema. Thickening with enhancement of the prevertebral space as well as the anterior epidural space with no abscess formation.
Case Discussion
