Presentation

Right-sided hearing loss.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Right cerebellopontine angle rounded calcified mass lesion with smooth surface. It is based on the inner aspect of right petrous bone with hyperostosis, located posterior to the internal auditory meatus encroaching upon it. It is also compressing the right side of brainstem. Its lower part is also extending to the vestibular aqueduct.

The calcified right cerebellopontine angle mass lesion is seen encroaching and mildly extending into the medial part of the right internal auditory canal compressing the vestibulocochlear and facial nerves. It is also extending to the right vestibular aqueduct.

Case Discussion

Features are in favor of calcified right cerebellopontine angle meningioma narrowing right internal auditory meatus with mass effect upon right VII and VIII nerves and brainstem.
