Presentation
Swelling, redness, and pain in the right shoulder joint and superclavicular area. Known history of solitary plasmacytoma in the right clavicle.
Patient Data
Osteolysis of the right clavicle. Only the peripheral part of the right clavicle is visible. Engorgement of the soft tissues above the clavicle.
Increased dimensions of the cardiac shadow.
No specific findings in the pulmonary parenchyma.
Case Discussion
The findings in the chest X-ray correspond to a solitary bone plasmacytoma, one of two subtypes of plasmacytoma. It presents with the destruction of the right clavicle and a painful mass in the superclavicular region.
