Presentation

Severe anemia, endoscopically confirmed bleeding duodenal mass.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female

  • An about 50 x 50 x 35 mm intraluminal low density duodenal mass is visible, severely narrowing the free lumen of the bowel. 
  • Other: possible small distal duodenal lipoma, gallstones, kidney cysts and signs of chronic kidney disease, small right ovarian cyst, sigmoid diverticula, degenerative changes of the depicted skeleton.

An about 50 mm hypoechogenic, moderately vascularized mass is seen in the descending part of the duodenum.
