Presentation

Young male with developmental delay.

Patient Data

Age: 5-10 years
Gender: Male

Axial T2 and FLAİR WI show parallel widely separated lateral ventricles with mild dilatation of occipital horns (colpocephaly).

The normal stripe of the corpus callosum body, splenium and rostrum not visualized on mid-sagittal T1 and T2 weighted images. The genu of the corpus callosum is thin and hypoplastic.

There is also large retrocerebellar arachnoid cyst.

Case Discussion

This case shows typical signs of dysgenesis of the corpus callosum as a racing car configuration on axial and moose head or Viking helmet appearance on coronal images.
