A Lobulated T1WI, T2WI, and FLAIR hyperintense lesion is seen in the posterior part of the right side of the pons and the floor of the 4th ventricle (facial colliculus). The lesion results in the expansion of the right facial colliculus. The lesion shows blooming in SWI.

Case Discussion

Facial colliculus is located at dorsal part of pons, at the floor of 4th ventricle. Here, the facial nerve wraps around the abducens nerve. So any lesion at facial colliculus will involve both the facial and abducens nerves . Common lesions which involve the facial colliculus are tumor, stroke and demyelination.
