Case Discussion

An epidermal inclusion cyst is a superficial cutaneous lesion that is clinically presented as a non-painful swelling mostly in hairy areas (scalp, face, trunk, etc.). It shows no internal vascularity in the color Doppler study.

A very important comment at ultrasound examination of a scalp epidermal inclusion cyst is the continuity of the underlying cranial bones to exclude the intracranial extension.
