There is a large solid appearing heterogeneously enhancing hepatic mass lesion with some necrotic areas involving segments 4A, 4B, 5, 1 and 8 of liver measuring about 11.5 x 8.7 x 10.5 cm. The major portal vein branches and hepatic vein branches are displaced by the mass lesion. No other discrete hepatic mass lesion is seen. Few prominent porta hepatis lymph nodes are seen. The largest measures 8 mm in short diameter.

Gall bladder as well as intra and extra hepatic biliary channels are normal.

Normal aspect of spleen, pancreas, kidneys, urinary bladder, adrenals, stomach, bowel loops and pelvic organs is noted.

No ascites or pneumoperitoneum.

No suspected lesion is noted in the imaged lung bases and bony skeleton.

Case Discussion

Keeping with patients age and imaging features, the lesion is very likely to be hepatoblastoma, however, laboratory (e.g. alpha-fetoprotein) or histological correlation is not available.
