An acute intracerebral hemorrhage is centered in the basal ganglia of the right hemisphere with the extension of blood into both lateral ventricles (intraventricular hemorrhage), third & fourth ventricles as well as the foramina of Luschka and Magendie. There is no hydrocephalus at this stage.
