Presentation

Headache with bilateral papilledema.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

The MRI sequences demonstrate:

  • vertical tortuosity of the optic nerves with prominent surrounding subarachnoid space around
  • flattening of the posterior sclera with intraocular protrusion of the optic nerve heads
  • partially empty sella turcica
  • moderately enlarged Meckel cave
  • the MRV shows distal stenosis of the transverse sinuses
