Presentation

Patient presented with a slow growing painless mass in the left medial thigh.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

There is a well-defined fat density mass in the anteromedial thigh, displacing surrounding soft tissues. No bone abnormality.

Case Discussion

Intra or intermuscular lipomas are a small subset of lipomas found in the body, in any location.

Pathology on a biopsy:

These are cores of normal skeletal muscle and mature appearing adipose tissue. No cytologic atypia.
