Fall with foot pain.

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

No acute fracture or traumatic malalignment identified. Irregular appearance of the 4th toe middle phalanx.

Case Discussion

The irregular appearance of the toe phalanges is developmental and the appearance will normalize over time 1. This appearance should not be confused with a fracture.
