Presentation

Secoundary infertility.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

The uterine cavity is normal and deviated to the right side of the pelvic cavity.

The right fallopian tube is normal with a free peritoneal spill of contrast materials.

Left-sided fallopian tube with fluid-filled dilatation due to hydrosalpinx.

There is a large loculation of contrast media in the left side of the pelvic cavity and lateral to the fallopian tube related to pelvic peritubal adhesions.

Hydrosalpinx is a descriptive term that refers to fluid-filled dilatation of the fallopian tube.

Pelvic adhesions are usually diagnosed on HSG by the presence of a loculated spill of contrast medium.
