Mayo classification is used to classify olecranon fractures:

  • type IA: undisplaced non-comminuted
  • type IIA: displaced non-comminuted
  • type IIIA: unstable non-comminuted
     
  • type IB: undisplaced comminuted
  • type IIB: displaced comminuted
  • type IIIB: unstable comminuted
