Meningioma - posterior cranial fossa

Presentation

Vertigo.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Well-defined extra-axial broad-based mass with dural attachment of the posterior cranial fossa adjacent to the sigmoid sinus and posterior margin of the tentorium cerebelli measuring 27 x 25 x 23 mm. It displays an isosignal to the cortical grey matter on T1, a high signal on T2 and FLAIR with a central calcification of low signal. The post-contrast sequences demonstrate a vivid homogeneous enhancement of the non-calcified component. The adjacent sigmoid sinus is patent.

Small vessel ischemic changes are noted.
