Asymmetrical increased wall thickness due to tumoral infiltration is evident in the mid-rectum, accompanied by mild perirectal fat stranding. Mesorectal fascia is focally infiltrated in the anterior aspect.
Innumerable low-enhancing masses are seen in the liver, inferring metastases.
Several cortical and peripelvic cysts are seen in the right kidney.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
Case Discussion
Pathology-proven rectal adenocarcinoma with focal mesorectal fascia involvement and diffuse hepatic metastasis.
